My name is Sheridan New and I am 25 years old, living in Sydney and navigating the hectic Sydney housing market. Luckily these days I have an awesome apartment with my flatmate Dan - who probably will not feature that heavily here. But he is great!
I mostly started this blog to focus my interest and have a creative outlet while also living the public service life. I like to keep active and keep learning and exploring new things.
A quick note as to why 'Fun to Funghi' - it is basically a misheard David Bowie lyric. In the song 'Ashes to Ashes', I thought the line was 'fun to fungi'. Actually, the lyric is 'fun to funky' but really, it is anyone's guess with Bowie!

I'm a huge sucker for fantasy - the Lord of the Rings basically dominated my childhood and is what really got me interested in film.

I like to name things, e.g. my macair is named Ovid, and my phone is named Maggie.
I lived in Austria for 6 months in 2014-2015 for a university exchange. Hence the random sprinkling of German.
I've recently picked up photography again in my spare time. I haven't seriously played around with it since my exchange (I got a bit burnt out) but I've really been enjoying it again for the past month or so. I mainly enjoy taking bird photographs.
